Quickstart instructions

Send a letter to a single mailing address--a Quickletter.

1. Sign into your existing Click2Mail account or register for a new account. Go to the "My Account" page, click "Email-to-Mail" from the left-hand menu.

2. Under "Approved senders" (fig 1) add the email address from which you will send your Email-to-Mail message. Only messages from that email address will be processed (you can add others later).

3. Select "Dashboard," and click "Buy credit" from the User credits area to add enough credits to pay for the planned mailing. Click here for current prices.

4. Prepare your email using the email account associated with your "Approved sender" email address (Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.). Type "quickletter@em2mail.com" in the "To" box (fig 2) and type the name and postal mailing address of recipient in the "Subject" box using this format:

Recipient Name; Company (optional); Street Address; City ST ZIP Code
(Use semi-colons ";" to separate address lines—5-line maximum)

Click "Send"--that's it! You'll receive a confirmation email with a link for approving your mailing.

Full-feature instructions

Basic account setup

1. Sign into your account or register for a new account. Go to the "My Account" page, click "Email-to-Mail" from the left-hand menu.

2. "Approved Senders" (fig 3). Add one or more email addresses from which you will be sending your Email-to-Mail messages. Only messages from those email addresses will be processed. If you choose to include the email address associated with your Click2Mail account, you must re-enter it here.

3. "Mailboxes/Mailing lists" (fig 4) are used to send documents to more than one recipient (List Letter). See instructions below under "Send a letter mailed to multiple mailing addresses."

4. "Preferences > Confirmation required" (fig 5). It is strongly recommended that you leave this option checked to require confirmation by you that your mailings are properly rendered before they are printed and mailed. Uncheck it and your emails will be printed and mailed without confirmation.

"Attachments Only." By default, the text of the email message you send is printed along with attachments, if any. Any images from your original email are not printed and should be included as attachments if you want them sent with your message. If you want the system to ignore any text and footers included in the body of the email and only print and mail the attachment(s), check this option. If this box is checked, you could, for example, attach a PDF document to an email that includes an automatic signature text block and only the PDF document will actually be printed and mailed.

You can include multiple attachments and mix and match document and file types. The text of the email is printed first (unless "Attachments Only" is checked) followed by attachments in the order they are delivered by your email program. We strongly recommend that you confirm your document to ensure it is rendered in the order you intended.

Send a letter to one mailing address (Quickletter)

After Basic account setup (above)...

1. Select "Dashboard," and click "Buy credit" from the User credits area to add enough credits to pay for the planned mailing. Click here for current prices.

Click "Send." If you set Preferences to "Confirmation required" (strongly recommended) you will receive a confirmation email with a link for approving your mailing. If you do not, your order is processed automatically.

Send a letter mailed to multiple mailing addresses (List Letter)

After Basic account setup (above)...

1. Select "Dashboard," and click "Buy credit" from the User credits area to add enough credits to pay for the planned mailing. Click here for current prices.

2. Prepare your email using the email account associated with your "Approved sender" email address (Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.). Type the "Mailboxes" email address you created (Basic account setup above) in the "To" box of your email (fig 7). (The "Subject" line of a List Letter is ignored by the system.)

Click "Send." If you set Preferences to "Confirmation required" (strongly recommended) you will receive a confirmation email with a link to approve and send your letter. If you did not, your order is processed automatically.

In addition to mailing the contents of your email message you can attach documents created by these and many other software applications to both Email-to-Mail Quickletters and List Letters. You can include multiple attachments and mix and match document and file types:

It is best to layout your documents using standard 8.5 x 11 in pages.

Compatible image formats

You can include multiple attachments and mix and match document and file types. You can also attach image files generated by any program or device and saved in these file formats: GIF, JPG, PNG. Don't know how to save a particular file? Call and we'll explain how.

Resolution

Ideal resolution is 300 DPI (dots per inch) with a minimum of 150 DPI. Lower resolution may appear blurry or pixelated.

Email-to-Mail through your software application

If your application can send email, you can have it sending postal mail in minutes.
